Beautiful morning hike that started just after sunrise.  Walking in the shadows with alternating warm and cool breezes.  The weather was beautiful and clear skies.  Visibility was spectacular

Spur of the moment hike that a small twisty road to get to.  not many people on the trail and absolutely gorgeous views on a clear day.  The few people I did run into were all nice and most dogs were off leash.  Easy hike with great views, can wander in the area as much as you want

Hiked to Parker Mesa via Los Liones Trail.  The hike was nice and super green with wildflowers all over the place.  It was overcast and really nice.  My route tracker failed so I had to pull the route from another source.  Really enjoyed the hike

Hiked the Santa Ynez trail to the waterfall and then up towards the Topanga Fire Road and then over to Trippet Ranch.  I was surprised to find water in the creek and at the waterfall.  It was just as peaceful and isolated as the first time.  You could see where the fire had hit it but it wasn't too bad.  The flowers on the way to the waterfall and the main trail were awesome.  This was a totally unexpected surprise being mid June and a dry year.  The lower canyon was green and the flowers were popping; it was a really nice day.  I hardly saw anyone until halfway back down the trail as well.

I did this hike between helping with Westside Thanksgiving and cooking Thanksgiving.  This was  a hike along a canyon floor with a lot of trees changing colors that made it really scenic.  I did a short climb and took the ridge line back.  A lot of mountain bikers and a wide open trail.  There was a short part of the trail when I dropped from the ridge line back to the canyon floor that was very steep and narrow.  There were tracks from bikes there and I have no idea how a hiker and biker would meet without both ending up off the trail.  It was also very steep and would be pretty hard to climb; probably easier to do the route counter clockwise like I did.

I decided it had been a little while and the weather looked good for a morning hike.  This was a hike that started in a new spot (in a neighborhood) and then partway up, merged into a trail I have hiked previously.   With all the rain that we have received lately, the scenario was very green and lush.  There was a lot of green vegetation and a lot of wild flowers; simplify beautiful.  I ran into some, but not too many people on the bigger trail; and only 1-2 people using the trailhead that I used.
